Agadir to Imsouane transfer

A private Agadir to Imsouane transfer covers 80 km in 1h10–1h30 door-to-door and starts from €28 for the whole car, not per person. The route runs north on the coastal P1009 through Taghazout and Tamri, then turns off for the 12 km descent to the bay — the last stretch is narrow but fully surfaced. Fuel, tolls, luggage and a professional English-speaking driver are included in the fixed price.

Imsouane is the reason a lot of people come to this coast: the bay produces one of the longest right-hand point waves in Africa, and the village is still a working fishing harbour rather than a resort. It sits 80 km north of Agadir with no scheduled transport of its own.

A private transfer covers it in about an hour and a quarter, from Agadir bay, Taghazout, Tamraght or straight from Al Massira airport (AGA) with your flight tracked. Boards travel free, and the driver takes you down into the village itself — to the harbour, the Cathedral point side or your guesthouse door.

The public option is a bus or grand taxi to Tamri and then a hitch or local taxi down the side road, which works but is slow and unreliable with board bags, especially on a late arrival.

Where the driver drops you in the bay

Imsouane is two settlements: the harbour with the fishing boats and the cafés above the bay wave, and the smaller cluster on the Cathedral point side. Tell us which guesthouse or camp you are staying in and the driver goes to that door — the road down is surfaced the whole way.

If you are arriving to surf the same day, the harbour car park is the usual drop for boards, five minutes' walk from the line-up.

From the airport, and onward to Essaouira

Al Massira airport (AGA) to Imsouane is roughly 100 km and 1h35, with flight tracking and meet-and-greet inside arrivals included. Evening charter arrivals are the busiest slot on this coast and the one where the taxi rank charges most.

Heading north instead, Imsouane sits about halfway to Essaouira, so a transfer on to the medina takes a further 1h30 and can be booked as one journey with a stop.
