Agadir airport to Taghazout transfer

A private Agadir airport to Taghazout transfer covers 45 km in 40–50 min door-to-door and starts from €21 for the whole car, not per person. There is no direct bus from the airport to Taghazout — the public route means a bus into Agadir bus station and a second taxi north, which takes about two hours with boards. Fuel, tolls, luggage and a professional English-speaking driver are included in the fixed price.

Taghazout is Morocco's surf capital, a 45 km run north of Al Massira airport along the bypass and the coastal P1009. Nearly everyone who lands at AGA for a surf week faces the same last-leg problem: the airport is inland, the village is up the coast, and no scheduled service connects the two.

A private transfer solves it in one move. Your driver waits inside the arrivals hall with a name sign, loads boards and bags, and drives straight to the surf-camp gate or apartment door — including the steep lanes above the main road that taxi drivers often refuse at night.

Boards travel free in our vans and minibuses; tell us at booking how many and what length so we send a vehicle with roof racks rather than a saloon. Late-night landings and 05:00 departures back to the airport for a dawn flight are both routine on this route.

Agadir airport to Taghazout: transfer, bus or taxi?

Al Massira sits 22 km inland and Taghazout a further 20 km up the coast, so the airport leg is longer here than the resort brochures suggest. Here is how the realistic options compare.

Surfboards, bags and the right vehicle

A standard saloon takes two passengers and soft-top boards up to about 7 ft inside. Anything longer — longboards, board bags of three or more, or a group with hard cases — needs a van or minibus with roof racks, which we send at no extra charge when you flag it at booking.

There is no per-board surcharge. What matters is that we know before dispatch: a saloon arriving for four surfers with six boards is the one failure mode on this route, and it is entirely avoidable.

Where in Taghazout we drop you

Anywhere with vehicle access, which in Taghazout means the main road, the hillside lanes above it, and the newer developments at Taghazout Bay and Tamraght on the way in. Surf camps on the pedestrian steps down to the beach are the exception — we get as close as the car legally goes and help you down with the bags.

Taghazout Bay resorts (Hyatt Place, Fairmont, Radisson) have proper driveways and are about 5 minutes closer than the village itself. Aourir, or Banana Village, is roughly 10 minutes closer again.

Vehicles and prices on this route

Economy saloon (1–3 passengers, 2–3 cases) €21. Business saloon such as a Mercedes E-Class (1–3 passengers) €26. Van or V-Class (4–7 passengers, plenty of luggage) €30. Minibus for groups up to 12–16 €46.

Every price is for the whole vehicle and includes fuel, motorway tolls, luggage, the driver and waiting time. Child seats are free on request. Round-trip bookings made in one reservation typically save 5–10% against two separate one-ways.
