The Imsouane stop and the argan road
The N1 climbs out of Agadir past Taghazout and Tamri, then runs through argan country around Tamanar. Imsouane, roughly halfway, is a 15-minute detour and the best coffee stop on the road — the bay wave there is one of the longest rights in Africa. One stop is included in your fixed price.
The road is good throughout, two lanes, with a few slow sections behind trucks on the climbs. Allow an extra 20 minutes in the late afternoon when the Agadir corniche traffic backs up.
Medina drop-off and Essaouira airport
Cars cannot enter the Essaouira medina. The driver stops at the gate closest to your riad and helps carry the bags to the door — tell us the riad name at booking and we confirm the gate in advance.
Essaouira-Mogador airport (ESU) is 17 km south of the medina, so an airport drop instead of the town is slightly shorter and runs as its own short transfer if you need it separately.
