A private driver in Marrakech starts at €18 for a Menara Airport (RAK) pickup into the medina or Gueliz, about 15–25 minutes. As-directed hire with the car and driver waiting between stops is €30/hr an hour with a three-hour minimum, and a full eight-hour day is €240 (€320 in a Mercedes S-Class).

A petit taxi is fine for a short hop inside the ramparts, but it takes three passengers, rarely runs the meter with visitors and cannot leave the city — so it is no use for Essaouira, the Atlas or Ouarzazate.
