The road from Marrakech to Casablanca
North of Marrakech the A7 crosses the Jbilet hills and the long, flat Rehamna and Chaouia plains past Benguerir and Settat to Mohammed V airport. From Mohammed V the A7 motorway runs north through Nouaceur's suburbs into Casablanca. Good places to break the drive: the Settat service area and the Sidi Bou Othmane service area.

Casablanca is Morocco's economic capital — a sprawling Art Deco port city, home to the Hassan II Mosque on its seafront and the country's main business district. City traffic is the main variable — the A1 ring and Boulevard d'Anfa jam at rush hour, so add half an hour on weekday evenings.
