Casablanca to Agadir, the comfortable way.

The Casablanca–Agadir transfer covers 495 km in about 6 hours. It links the Atlantic plain with the Souss coast by way of Nouaceur (skirting Casablanca) and Marrakech, and it is priced per vehicle from €230, so a family or group pays the same as one traveller.
Who makes the Casablanca to Agadir trip
Why this trip? People usually leave Casablanca quickly — it is the arrival point for long-haul flights and the start of most itineraries heading south or north. As for Agadir, it is Morocco's sunniest resort, with year-round beach weather, family hotels along the bay and golf courses inland. Plenty of the bookings on this corridor are business trips, where a fixed pickup time and Wi-Fi in the car matter more than scenery — though there is some on the way.
The road from Casablanca to Agadir
From central Casablanca the A7 heads south through the suburbs to Nouaceur and Mohammed V airport. South of Mohammed V the A7 crosses the Chaouia wheat plains past Berrechid, Settat and Benguerir, then drops over the Jbilet hills into Marrakech. South of Marrakech the A7 crosses the Chichaoua plain, then climbs through the western High Atlas near Imi n'Tanout and Argana on a spectacular stretch of tunnels and viaducts before descending to the Souss. Good places to break the drive: the Settat service area, the Sidi Bou Othmane service area and the service area near Imi n'Tanout.
Arriving in Agadir
Agadir is a modern beach city rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake — a 6 km sandy bay with a promenade, a marina at the north end and the Kasbah hill above it. Hotels line the promenade and the Founty district; most have a drive-up entrance, so this is one of the easiest drop-offs in the country.
Should you split the journey?
At 6 hours this is a full day in the car. We run it in one day for anyone who wants that — with breaks every two hours or so — but many travellers prefer to split it. The natural halfway point is Marrakech: Marrakech is the natural halfway house for almost any north–south crossing. Book two one-way legs and the driver meets you again the next morning.
Before you go
Once you are in Agadir, Taghazout's surf villages are 30 minutes north and Paradise Valley's palm gorge under an hour inland. Around 300 days of sun; winter days still reach the low 20s °C, which is why it fills with European visitors from November to March. The return leg, Agadir to Casablanca, has its own page and the same per-vehicle pricing.
¿Coche privado, autobús, gran taxi o tren?
The fastest way from Casablanca to Agadir is a private transfer: about 6 h door to door for a fixed €230 for the whole vehicle. The coach is cheaper per person but adds a transfer at each end and roughly an hour of waiting; a shared grand taxi only leaves once six seats are sold.
| Option | Typical price | Journey time | Door to door | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Private transfer (Bacharide) | from €230 per vehicle | 6 h | Yes | Fixed fare for the whole car, hotel-door pickup, luggage and child seats included, flight tracked. |
| CTM / Supratours coach | ~€35 per person | 8 h 30 | No | Cheapest option, but fixed departure times, station-to-station, and luggage is charged by the bag. |
| Shared grand taxi | ~€45 per seat | 6 h 60 | No | Leaves only when six seats are sold. No seatbelts in the rear, no boot space for large cases. |
| Self-drive hire car | ~€90 per day + fuel | 6 h 15 | Yes | Flexible, but you handle the mountain passes, city parking and the deposit hold. |
Coach, grand taxi and rail figures are typical published fares and timings for Moroccan operators (CTM, Supratours, ONCF) and vary by season. Only the Bacharide fare is fixed and quoted at booking.
