The road from Tamraght to Agadir
Tamraght is a few kilometres south of Taghazout on the same coast road, between Aourir and Banana Point. Heading south, the N1 leaves the surf coast at Aourir's banana stalls and follows the shore through Anza into Agadir's port district.
Arriving in Agadir
Agadir is a modern beach city rebuilt after the 1960 earthquake — a 6 km sandy bay with a promenade, a marina at the north end and the Kasbah hill above it. Hotels line the promenade and the Founty district; most have a drive-up entrance, so this is one of the easiest drop-offs in the country.
