Essaouira Mogador Airport pickup point
Essaouira Mogador (ESU) is a very small airport 15 km south of town with a single arrivals room, so you will see your driver the moment you walk out. The medina is a 15–20 minute drive, Sidi Kaouki 25 minutes, Marrakech 2 h 30 and Agadir 2 h 30. Sixty minutes of free waiting is included.
ESU takes a handful of flights a day, mostly seasonal European services. There is one small arrivals room and no queue to speak of, which makes it the quickest arrival in the country.
There is also almost no public transport. A shared taxi into town exists in theory but rarely lines up with flights, so nearly everyone leaves by car.
Inside Essaouira the medina is car-free, so drivers stop at Bab Doukkala or Bab Marrakech and, for riads deep in the lanes, arrange a porter.

Wind, surf and kite trips
Essaouira is Morocco's wind capital, and most arrivals are heading to a kite or surf school in town, at Sidi Kaouki or further down at Moulay Bouzerktoun.
Boards, kites and bagged equipment travel free when declared at booking so we assign a van or a vehicle with bars.
Onward to Marrakech and the south
The Marrakech road takes about two and a half hours and passes the Argan cooperatives and the famous goats-in-trees stretch — we stop on request at no extra charge.
Southbound, Agadir and Taghazout are also around two and a half hours down the coast.
