From El Jadida the A1 runs north past Azemmour, then a bypass through Had Soualem avoids Casablanca and leads straight to the airport at Nouaceur. South of Mohammed V the A7 crosses the Chaouia wheat plains past Berrechid, Settat and Benguerir, then drops over the Jbilet hills into Marrakech. The final stretch: the Agafay stone desert begins about 35 km south-west of Marrakech, reached via the Amizmiz road. Good places to break the drive: the Settat service area and the Sidi Bou Othmane service area.
