Plan on about 2 hours for the 115 km between Chefchaouen and Tangier, following the N2 via Tetouan. Chefchaouen is the blue-washed mountain town of the Rif, its medina of indigo lanes climbing the slope below two peaks, with a kasbah and a spring-fed river at the top.
Who makes the Chefchaouen to Tangier trip
Why this trip? Chefchaouen is usually a one- or two-night stop between Tangier and Fes, so departures often continue straight on. As for Tangier, people arrive by ferry from Spain or fly in to start a northern Morocco trip, and stay for the kasbah, the Café Hafa terraces and Cap Spartel.
