The road from Ouarzazate to Casablanca
From Ouarzazate the road passes the Atlas film studios and crosses the plateau to Aït Benhaddou. From Aït Benhaddou the road joins the N9 and climbs north over the Tizi n'Tichka pass at 2,260 m, then twists down through Atlas villages into Marrakech. North of Marrakech the A7 crosses the Jbilet hills and the long, flat Rehamna and Chaouia plains past Benguerir and Settat to Mohammed V airport. From Mohammed V the A7 motorway runs north through Nouaceur's suburbs into Casablanca. Good places to break the drive: the Tizi n'Tichka pass, the argan and walnut terraces around Taddert and the Settat service area.
