West of Marrakech the N8 crosses the dry Haouz plain to Chichaoua, then the R207 heads through the Chiadma farmland and the argan forest down to the ocean at Essaouira. The final stretch: sidi Kaouki lies 25 km south of Essaouira, reached by a side road off the N1 through argan country. Good places to break the drive: the argan cooperatives at Ounagha and a café stop at Chichaoua.
